Nancy Smith joined us in November 2009 as Manager, Business Relations. In this capacity, Nancy has assumed the responsibility of the following key accountabilities:

• Co-ordinate client communications to deliver timely and informative articles and information to you;
• Develop initiatives and implement these processes that will add value to you as a client;
• Liaise with existing and potential business partners to ensure they help us with the tools and services that we require to provide you with excellence in your wealth management planning;
• Client event planning, seminars, client surveys and other services as required.

Born and raised in Oshawa, ON, the motor city, Nancy left for Toronto after high school to pursue a college education and a career in the financial industry. For almost ten years her career on Bay Street was focused on the institutional trading side of the business with a major international bank and then with a Canadian brokerage house. Next she joined a major mutual fund company in sales and marketing. As a mutual fund wholesaler working with financial advisors throughout Ontario and eventually Atlantic Canada, Nancy saw the importance of an advisor in helping achieve short term goals, reducing taxes, securing a comfortable retirement and the ability to transfer wealth to the next generation. It was inevitable that her career next shifted to the retail side of the business and working with financial advisors. Her role as Manager, Business Relations, is in educating and keeping our clients informed through seminars, newsletters and special events.

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts, Economics degree from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, N.S.

Volunteering and giving back to her community is also important to Nancy. Considering her love of learning and children, she enjoyed four years as a story time reader at her local public library and is currently a leader with the Girl Guides of Canada.
